Remember the account of Eli in 1 Samuel 2? Remember his two sons? The Bible says that the two sons were rebellious and wicked. It also says that Eli had failed as a father in that he honored (or cared more about) his own sons than God. He failed to rebuke and take action against them for their rebellion. God takes sin seriously. Do we?
We must train up our children and discipline them according to godly standards if we want life and blessing for them. Eli didn't and his family paid a big price. Families in our nation don't either and they are paying a big price. What will you do? Study God's word, learn the principles for life that He teaches us, and then apply them to your life and pass them on to your children.
